Rick Marotz

Photographer

Qualicum Beach

Rick Marotz's passion for photography began while attending the Institute for Building Technology in Luebeck, Germany. In 1954, he immigrated to Canada and continued creating photographic art. He worked for many years in construction and as an architectural draftsman/designer, including doing all the photographic work for the architectural firm.

During his long and varied "life in photography", Rick has had several exhibitions, publications and numerous awards. Rick feels that behind every photograph is a story. He recalls how they were taken, the conditions, the weather, sometimes waiting for days to capture the right moment and finally the satisfaction of having taken a good photograph.

His work is available for printing and purchase at Island Exposures Gallery in Parksville, BC. Please click on any of the categories below to see more photos.
